Liverpool Outright Betting – Chances to Win the Premier League Next Season
With the Premier League fixtures being announced for 2022/23, the focus now shifts to who will eventually come out on top next May and when considering Liverpool outright betting, with Erling Haaland now linking up with Manchester City, there is every chance the title race is something of a foregone conclusion.
Something that Liverpool will be keen to avoid and with the Merseyside men being edged out on the final day of the previous campaign, they will look to exact revenge on the Etihad outfit.
However, revenge will be easier said than done next season and with Sadio Mane swapping the red of Liverpool for the red of Bayern Munich, many are wondering if his former employers are now weaker after his departure.
Liverpool Outright Betting – All Change At Anfield
Because although Liverpool have attempted to naturally evolve in the past year or so, the departure of Mane suggests something more akin to revolution and he may not be the only African star to move on either.
With Mohamed Salah still yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, Liverpool’s higherups will now be considering whether to stick or twist in terms of prolonged employment and with the risk of a free transfer just 12 months away, they may have to soon cash in on the Egyptian king.
Something that would only further play into the hands of Manchester City and with Pep Guardiola assembling what now looks like to be two starting elevens that are individually capable of winning the Premier League, they are once again favourites to eventually come out on top.
Which means Liverpool are going to have to find a way to try and counteract City’s first or second starting elevens and although Sadio Mane has made a saddening goodbye to Munich, a new arrival may have a winning theory of his own.
Especially with a first of name of Darwin and with Nunez making an anticipated switch from Benfica, last season’s Premier League runners-up have managed to beat a whole host of European outfits to his signature.
The arrival of the Uruguayan hitman has been rather trumpeted in the red half of the city and with the club already having experience of one goal machine from this country, they will now hope their new signing can follow in the footsteps of Luis Suarez.
Then again, Nunez will have to follow in the rather large footsteps that have been left behind by Sadio Mane and although critics may feel that the replacement is not like for like, that arguably does Liverpool’s latest exile a disservice.
Because once Mane returned from a victorious campaign in the African Cup of Nations for Senegal at the start of 2022, he was used much more as a centre forward and in doing so, it allowed another South American to find their feet at the club.
South American Flair – Liverpool Outright Betting
With Mane being moved inside my manager Jurgen Klopp, it meant that Luis Diaz was given the perfect opportunity to shine out wide and shine he did after his move from Porto in the January transfer window.
Which means if Liverpool’s board can manage to keep hold of their most prized asset, both Salah and Luis Diaz will make up the rest of a rather fearsome attacking trio for 2022/23 and will be well placed to go head-to-head with Manchester City.
That of course is the optimum scenario and one that sees Salah either ink a new deal or the Liverpool board prepared to ride out any risk of the former Roma or Fiorentina forward leaving on a free in 12 months.
While a far less optimum scenario is the club’s board deciding to cash in while they still can and if that proves to be the case, that will put a huge dent in any hopes that Liverpool have of wrestling back the Premier League trophy from Manchester City.
Because if Salah does move on, it will ask a rather pertinent question and it is one which asks, how do you replace a player of his ilk? While the answer to this is rather simple, if only because you cannot replace him.
Instead, you can only mitigate any loss as best you can and although somewhere in the region of £50m will go alongside the £35m that has already been recently banked, money means very little if you cannot subsequently spend it on genuine quality.
Especially as any departure of Salah would only give off a sense of relative desperation in the transfer market and therefore, any target that Liverpool would then look to snare would subsequently increase in value.
This means the power of persuasion may be required over the next month or so and if the manager can sell the idea of a new-look band topping the charts on Merseyside, it might just be enough to tempt the 30-year-old to sign a new contract.
Room For a Third
Regardless of the status of the Egyptian international icon, Manchester City will still be considered as the force to be reckoned with and if Liverpool are further weakened, it may allow Tottenham to be the best of the rest.
Because with Antonio Conte now seemingly settled in North London and perhaps more importantly being given money to spend this summer, the Italian will not be looking for his Tottenham side to make up the numbers in the Premier League.
Which is why backing Tottenham in the each-way market may actually be better value than selecting either of Manchester City or Liverpool to come out on top – regardless of what additional business the latter may or may not do.
With Harry Kane and Hueng min-Son now finding their feet under the wily Italian coach, this could be their last genuine chance of a title tilt at N17 and although it is not necessarily going to be a three-horse race, Spurs will be more than outsiders at the same time.
Something that suggests Liverpool may also have to look over their shoulder next season and for as much as they will want to land a glove or two on Manchester City, one wonders if they will be able to deliver a knockout blow at the same time.
Ultimately, as outlined above when looking at Liverpool outright betting opportunities there is a lot to consider.
